asadfg I love these two so very much ;w; <33 Manaphy and Phione are so adorable! I have a pair on a team of mine and they're such troopers, they surprise me in online battles sometimes! I wonder why they're so underloved ;^;

I actually started a collection of them in plushie and figure forms, and it's so fun to look at their happy lil faces ;w;

I don't think Manaphy is underloved, in fact it seems to get quite a bet of atencon, especially in curten circles


Phione on the other hand, yea, it's pretty much ignored by most people (despite in my opinion having the better deshin) being seen as literally a worse version of Manaphy. Even Game Freak ignores it seeing it as a gigantic afterthought and using it only in the context of Manaphy (seriously I can think of a grand total of 4 instances were they actually used it in any capacity

  1. In the Gen 4 manga were in the epaloge Ch. dedicated to Manafty it's revealed that Manaphy gave birth to a Phione... and that's it

  2. In Legends Arkaus were during the side quest to get Manafty, it shows up alongside 3 underleveled Phione to make the battle to catch it slightly harder

  3. In 1 of the Pokemon Ranger games it sometimes shows up in 1 easy to miss spot

  4. There is 1 Gen 4 anime episode were a Phione falls in love with Dawn's Buneary

Honestly, I feel Phione shouldn't be classed as a mithacol pokemon, as just a regular rare but non-legendary pokemon I think Phione works well, but as a mithacol with all the expectations and limitations attached to that status... It dos'nt help that wile GF treat Phione as a mithacol Pokemon officially it's status as such is debatable with contradictory statements given on the matter.
